Carrie Viger is a freelance artist specializing in fine art with oil paints and drawing, tattooing and music. Carrie was born in Laguna Beach, California and grew up in Vista, California. Carrie earned her BFA in Fine Art at Laguna College of Art and Design (LCAD) in 2003. During her time at LCAD, Carrie showcased her art at the LCAD Senior Show (2003) and served as Class President for two consecutive years (2001-2003). She also displayed her art at the Laguna Beach Sawdust Festival (2001-2002) as well as the prestigious Laguna Beach Pageant of the Masters (2002-2003). Carrie was also a resident artist at the Art Affair in Laguna Beach (2001-2003).
Carrie expanded her artistic scope after being named Art Director for Provo Craft in Provo, Utah (2004) before becoming the Art Director for Ellison in Newport Beach, California (2005).
Carrie quickly became a notable name in the San Diego art scene after showcasing her art in a solo show at Hensley's Flying Elephant in Carlsbad, California (2005), the Hill Street Art Show (2005) and later the Art Show Privateer both in Oceanside, California (2016). Carrie is also a widely-recognized tattoo artist based in Oceanside, California for the last 16 years. She was trained within the Sailor Jerry family tree and traditional tattooing, but also specializes in black and grey.
Carrie was awarded Best in Show Woodburning for Vissla Surfboards (2016) and was featured in an article in Osider Magazine showcasing her art in Oceanside, California (2016). A collection of Carrie's art is also permanently on display at Frankie's cocktail bar in Oceanside, California today.
Carrie also has experience playing the harp professionally. She currently lives in Provo, Utah where she is constantly inspired by the changing seasons and all the beauty that Utah has to offer. She enjoys painting in her back yard accompanied by her dog, Banjo.
